Andrew McLeod

Andrew McLeod lives and works in Auckland. He was one of the artists selected to show work in the inaugural Auckland Triennale in 2001, Bright Paradise. This milestone marked a significant achievement in Andrew McLeod NZ art.

Andrew McLeod works with a variety of mediums, but he has received particular attention for some of his more recent works, which he creates on computer and prints out on large pieces of photographic paper. These works are fantasy scapes in which Andrew McLeod artist pieces challenge the viewer by incorporating clearly foreign objects into varied land, sea, and outer-space scapes.

The imaginative and boundary-pushing nature of Andrew McLeod’s artwork has established him as a prominent figure in contemporary art in New Zealand and beyond.
