Frequently Asked Questions
How long do you have to hire art for?
You can hire our art for as long as you like, with a six to twelve month lease being the most popular. Many clients lease art long term after seeing the art in their space. Lemonbone also provides art for special events and this is usually a shorter term arrangement.
What does it cost to hire art?
This depends on the value of the artworks and the term of the lease. We can work with all budgets and we work together with our clients to find art that fits both their space and budget.
Can I hire art from prominent New Zealand artists?
Lemonbone provides an affordable opportunity to live with art from many leading New Zealand artists including Bill Hammond, Michael Parekowhai, Ralph Hotere, Shane Cotton, Peter Stichbury, Karl Maughan and Peter Robinson to name a few. We also have artworks by international artists including Damien Hirst, Anthony Gormley and Ai Wei Wei.
Do you hang the art that you hire?
Yes we do and we provide expert installation consultants to deliver and install the art to you. We work with you to ensure you are happy with the art in your space.
Can I hire art to sell my house?
Lemonbone can provide art that helps you present your house for sale in the best way possible. We can arrange to install the art before photographs are taken and we can be flexible on the term depending on how long the house takes to sell. We have found that most real estate campaigns are around 5 weeks.
Am I able to choose the art I want to hire?
We will show you a selection of art for you to choose that we think will suit your space and fits within your budget. We provide a free consultation service and will visit you to view the space and work with you to choose artworks that suit your space. Next we will send you ideas and images that we would recommend and work with you to finalise your selection.
