Louise Weaver is an Australian artist born in 1966 in Victoria. She studied nursing before attending art school at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology where she completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Arts, Painting in 1996.
She has exhibited in a number of solo and group shows and in 1999 was the recipient of an Arts Victoria and Australian Council of Visual Arts grant.
Her most recent works include animal forms with the entire surface covered in tight knit crochet, often further embellished with sequins, beading or other types of decoration.
Her works are included in many major Australian galleries and collections.
